Sustainability in the Grote Kerk (Ewaldenkerk) in Druten
In the beautiful Grote Kerk in Druten, the entire lighting system has recently been renewed by Huisman Etech Experts, while preserving the church’s atmosphere, character, and monumental heritage.
For this remarkable location, conveniently close to Huisman’s headquarters, Ruby fixtures from CLS were chosen. A sustainable solution with a compact design, excellent light quality, and broad versatility.
These Ruby fixtures illuminate the liturgical centre, improving visibility around the altar, while also enhancing sight lines from the nave. In addition, the lighting in the chapel now provides a warmer ambience and can easily be controlled separately from the main church area.
As installing cabling in a listed building can be challenging, a wireless Casambi control system was selected for this project.
A wonderful collaboration where technology, aesthetics, and heritage come together.
