We The Curious, Bristol

‘We The Curious’ is an interactive science museum in Bristol, where curiosity, art and education are key. The new ‘What if’ exhibition focuses on questions asked by Bristol residents. From 10,000 questions collected from every postcode in Bristol, seven were selected with the themes: happiness, the universe, invisibility, discovery, your soul, illness and time. The exhibition was then built around these.

‘What if’ places the visitor right in the middle of science. One of the highlights of the exhibition is an experience with 360-degree projection, where presentations and workshops are given. System Integrator Ata Tech brought the project to a wonderful result, together with design agency Kossmanndejong, exhibit builder Bruns, interactive media company Kiss the frog, software developer Calvium, light designer Simon Corder and the We The Curious Team.

The CLS Jade Zoom has been chosen for the lighting. A much used fixture by Light Designers all over the world, thanks to these characteristics:

  • High quality LED light sources from Citizen or Xicato, with CRI values up to CRI>98
  • Zoom range of 9° to 58° (Citizen) or 11° to 67° (Xicato)
  • Large selection of control types. Local dim, DALI, DMX, Casambi Bluetooth & Wireless DMX
  • Various mounting options; track-adapter, recessed rosette or m10 threaded rod.

Besides Zoom, the Jade series is also available in the variants Jade S, Jade HD, Jade Expo, Jade (Zoom) Tunable White and Jade Colour Flow. View the entire series or configure your own Jade in our configurator.
