Our R&D team works from advanced 3D CAD design through rapid prototyping to full production, all at our own facility. That proximity to production means new ideas move from sketch to sample fast, and it means every fixture that leaves Wijchen has been engineered, not just assembled.
Optics & beam design
Precision lenses and reflectors, tested alongside our Performance Zoom system, for beams that are shaped exactly to the application, no wasted light.
Thermal engineering
Thermal management is designed into every fixture from the first sketch, which is how CLS products reach lifespans of up to 50,000 hours with minimal light loss.
Modular architecture
Every platform is built to be modular by design, so upgrades, new optics and new control options can be added without reinventing the fixture.
Control & drivers
From DALI and DMX512 to Casambi and wireless control, our engineers integrate the latest control technology directly into the fixture platform.
Rapid prototyping
Rapid prototyping in-house means a concept becomes a testable sample in months, not years, fast enough to stay within the project's timeline.
Sustainable design
Every new platform is evaluated on efficiency and lifespan from day one, supporting energy savings of up to 80% versus traditional lighting.
