On October 30th 2010, in the presence of Her Royal Highness Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands, the world premiere of the musical ‘Soldaat van Oranje’ took place in the TheaterHangar. The theatre was originally an aircraft hangar at former military airport Valkenburg between Katwijk, Wassenaar and Leiden.
To give the temporary theatre the appearance of a real theatre, CLS REVO was used. Through the subtle use of the colours amber, royal blue and cold white (with various lenses) depth is created. With only four variants of this popular fixture it is possible to illuminate the entire building and the original Dakota in front of the building. The great succes of the musical resulted in the fact that it is still performed on a daily basis. Still with the same Revo’s lighting the entrance, of course.
