> A BEAUTIFUL RANGE OF FIXTURES:
THE TOPAZ SERIES

The Topaz Series is a stunning collection of fixtures, designed in close collaboration with museum lighting designers & technicians, architects, exhibition designers, CLS distributors, and users from around the world. The Topaz Series is our most comprehensive range of fixtures to date and is characterized by an immense variety of models, offering an elegant solution for virtually every need.

> TOPAZ VERSIONS

The design of the Topaz is sleek and discreet, featuring a gently curved rear to give the fixture an even slimmer appearance. All electronics are integrated into the fixture, eliminating the need for external driver housings. The Topaz family of fixtures includes the following members:

Topaz Expo

> Max. 15 W – 950 lm

The Topaz Expo utilizes high-quality optics that produce a beautifully uniform light beam. The optics can be swapped out in seconds, allowing lighting technicians to quickly and easily make adjustments on site. The optics are available in no less than five variants: 12°, 14°, 25°, 35°, and 55°.

Topaz Zoom

> Max. 15 W – 650 lm

With a zoom range of 9º to 58º, the Topaz Zoom is the ultimate lighting tool for museums, galleries, and experience centers. It consumes a maximum of only 15 watts, and thanks to the high efficiency of its optical system, the Topaz offers an impressive light output.

Topaz ColourFlow - 2025

> Max. 15 W – 600 lm

The Topaz ColourFlow is available with various interchangeable optics, providing great creative freedom for lighting technicians on site. The Topaz ColourFlow comes with RGBA, RGBW, Tunable White, and Dim To Warm LED modules, allowing for the creation of any desired ambiance.

Topaz Profile

> Max. 15 W – 400 lm

Razor-sharp framed projections are now possible thanks to the special optics of the Topaz Profile. Our optical experts tested hundreds of lens combinations to achieve the optimal balance between high projection quality and high output efficiency. The projection quality is unprecedentedly high.

> ACCESSORIES

A wide range of accessories is available for the Topaz Series, most of which can be mounted within seconds using a quick-click system. A snoot can be assembled in multiple segments to achieve the desired length. To customize the snoot, options such as a honeycomb, filter accessory holders, and elliptical beam filters are available.

IMPORTANT:

  • Only one accessory can be placed in a single accessory holder. Therefore, for a honeycomb and a beam filter, you will need two accessory holders for the Topaz Expo and Topaz ColourFlow.
  • For the Topaz Zoom, the honeycomb or filter can be placed directly onto the lens. To stack additional accessories, a snoot must be installed first due to the protruding lens when zooming.
  • We recommend a maximum stack of three accessories.
  • For the Topaz Profile, accessories are mounted using a screw system, which can be easily attached to the front of the fixture.

> DIMMING AND CONTROL OPTIONS

No other manufacturer in the world offers more options in terms of control and dimming methods. We develop all hardware and software in-house, allowing us to respond quickly and efficiently to our clients’ new needs. CLS provides the following control options for the Topaz Series: Local Dim, Roto Dim, DMX 512, Wireless DMX, Casambi Bluetooth, DALI, and a combination of Casambi Bluetooth & Local Dim in one track adapter.

New in this lineup is Roto Dim:

The Roto Dim system once again emphasises CLS’ position as an innovator and leading global player.

Roto Dim introduces a completely new way of dimming. It combines the ease and speed of analog potentiometer with the precision of digital dimming. With the detachable magnetic potentiometer, you can dim to 0.01%. The resolution is incredibly high, with steps less then 0.1 Lux. The digital potentiometer offers “endless rotation”, allowing for extreme precision. A smart algorithm ensures fast adjustments when rotating quickly and finer control when rotating slowly. Once the magnetic potentiometer is removed or no changes have been made in a period of 10 seconds, the chosen dimming level is stored in memory.

> TOPAZ ON TRACK AND BOLT MOUNTING

In addition to mounting on rails, CLS also offers the “B” mounting
option, where the “B” stands for Bolt. This fixture is equipped with
an M10 threaded nipple, making it suitable for mounting on a metal
ceiling plate, a cable duct, or other locations where rail mounting is
not feasible or desirable.

Horizontal and Vertical Track Mounting

The fixtures can be mounted both horizontally and vertically on a
rail, thanks to the perfectly balanced center of gravity and
multiple locking mechanisms. Both the rotation point in the
adapter and the fixture’s head on the bracket can be securely
locked.

> EXTENSIVE RANGE IN LIGHT SOURCES

CLS offers an extensive selection of light sources, with optimal colour rendering as our top priority. Our light sources excel not only in CRI but also in the much more comprehensive TM30 and CQS reports. Additionally, the light beams are beautifully even,
with soft edges. The Topaz Profile Framing provides sharply defined projections without the typical “blue line” effect seen in many LED profile fixtures.

If you cannot find your desired light source despite the vast selection available, please feel free to contact your local CLS supplier. We may be able to include your desired light source in our portfolio (MOQ applies).

> THE TOPAZ SCOOP:
MUSEUM HUIS VAN HET BOEK

The Topaz has already been used in the project Huis van het Boek. In order to maintain the quality of the books on display, the museum had the lighting in the back room replaced. For this, the museum approached the firm  50LUX Lichtontwerp en Advies which used the newest fixtures on the market in this historical museum, supplied by Lichtpunt .

In this project, the Casambi control system was chosen and the lighting fades in when visitors enter the space. Read more about the impact and choice for this energy-efficient approach below.
